Indredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour,
  • 3 teaspoons rapid-rise yeast,
  • 2 teaspoons sugar,
  • 1 teaspoons salt,
  • 1,5 cup warm water,
  • 400 gr. feta cheese,
  • 1 handful minced parsley,
  • 1 tablespoon butter.

Preparation:

  1. Mix together flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a large bowl,
  2. Make a cavity in the centre and add water slowly and carefully while mixing with your hands,
  3. Knead until everything comes together to form a soft non-sticky dough (you might need to add more flour),
  4. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 mins,
  5. In a separate bowl, crumble the cheese and mix it with minced parsley,
  6. Pull a clementine size piece from the dough and roll it out to the size of a plate,
  7. Place the cheese mixture generously on one half of the circle,
  8. Brush the sides with water and fold the circle in half (water will help seal),
  9. Melt 1 teaspoon of butter in a large skillet and place the gozleme in it,
  10. Cook on both sides,
  11. Repeat to use up the rest of the dough,
  12. Do not forget to melt 1 teaspoon of butter for each gozleme.
