Pecan sticky buns

There is not a single soul who wouldn’t be happy when offered one of these rich, scrumptious and soft, warm, melting, raised yeast dough topped with pecans?

Preparation time- 1 hour 40 minutes

No of servings– 24

Ingredients:

• Active dry yeast
• Half cup warm water
• Buttermilk
• Eggs
• All purpose flour
• Salt
• Softened butter
• White sugar
• Ground cinnamon
• Chopped pecans
• Brown sugar
• Butter

How to prepare

Dilute yeast in warm water in a mixing bowl and then add buttermilk, eggs, 2 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup of the butter or margarine, 1/2 cup of the sugar, baking powder and salt and blend well for 30 seconds. Beat in medium speed and then stir the remaining 3 cups flour. Knead for 5 minutes on a lightly floured board and then cover the dough and allow to rest. Divide dough into half and spread each half with soft butter and sprinkle sugar and ground cinnamon Roll the halves and Seal well. Cut the roll into slices. Now coat the rolls with Pecans and cook with melted butter and brown sugar. Let it rise. Cool and serve.
