Ingredients
- One pound dried white beans
- Two meaty smoked ham hocks
- Two quarts’ low-sodium chicken broth
- Eight ounces’ carrots
- One Chopped onion and garlic
- Four chopped ribs celery
- Salt and pepper
- 1 loaf sliced crusty bread
- Twelve sprigs thyme
How to make it-
Take a large cooker over low heat and add onion, garlic, ham hocks, beans, broth, celery, carrots and thyme sprigs, then cover it. Let it cook about 5 hours.
Remove the thyme stems, ham steaks and meaty parts from soup. Smash all other ingredients like garlic, carrots and others. Mix salt and pepper and serve with the bread.
