White Bean & Ham Soup

Time – Around 5 hours

Ingredients

  • One pound dried white beans
  • Two meaty smoked ham hocks
  • Two quarts’ low-sodium chicken broth
  • Eight ounces’ carrots
  • One Chopped onion and garlic
  • Four chopped ribs celery
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 loaf sliced crusty bread
  • Twelve sprigs thyme

How to make it-

Take a large cooker over low heat and add onion, garlic, ham hocks, beans, broth, celery, carrots and thyme sprigs, then cover it. Let it cook about 5 hours.

Remove the thyme stems, ham steaks and meaty parts from soup. Smash all other ingredients like garlic, carrots and others. Mix salt and pepper and serve with the bread.
